We simply don’t believe in the corporate deadlines that only serve to stifle our creativity. Sure, when a person works in corporate environment such as the New York Daily News or the New York Post and even CNN, they are expected as professional journalists, to meet the deadlines or suffer the consequences.

That being said, have you noticed how the quality of writing on some of the top websites on the Internet has declined dramatically? This has a lot to do with writers, editors and op-ed publishers being under strenuous deadlines with essentially pay that is not commensurate with the demands.

That is why we wholeheartedly believe in freelancing based upon your literary skill sets. Don’t learn this truth the hard way. Which is getting a corporate gig and then being made to feel like you are a minimum wage hire with no little to any education. You will be pressed about as if literary geniuses come a dime a dozen.

So one more time, just to be clear, as a professional writer, you need to create your own opportunities and play by your rules in terms of deadlines and pay. Life is much easier on this side of the grass!
